🌿 P3 Social and Religious Studies (SRS)

Welcome to the Primary 3 Social and Religious Studies Program!
This course strengthens learners’ social awareness, moral values, and understanding of their community, the environment, and their responsibilities as growing citizens. They explore the extended family, leadership at sector level, respect for God’s creatures, relationships, hygiene, economy, peace, justice, and local historical events.

Learners use maps, timelines, real-life examples, and role-play to connect classroom knowledge to their daily lives.

• Extended family duties: responsibilities, care of family assets

• Our sector: infrastructure, leaders, responsibilities, and service delivery

• Respect for God’s creatures: caring for nature, understanding interdependence

• Hygiene: personal, home, and school hygiene; dangers of poor hygiene; care of private parts

• Relationships and behaviour: human rights, values, societal role models, effects of poor values

• Avoiding wrongdoing: meaning of wrongdoing, prevention, forgiveness

• Economy: sources of money, saving, avoiding overspending

• Environment in the sector: reading maps, environmental protection, population concepts

• Peace and justice: meaning, conflict resolution, societal values

• Transport and communication: means of transport, traffic signs, sector challenges, communication etiquette

• Historical events: major events in the sector, timelines
