🌿 P2 Social and Religious Studies (SRS)

Welcome to the Primary 2 Social and Religious Studies Program!
This course deepens learners’ understanding of family relationships, community organization, God’s creation, harmony, economy, environment, and responsible behaviour. Children explore how families grow, how local government works, how humans care for God’s creation, and how values such as honesty, peace, and respect guide everyday life.

Learners also study basic money concepts, public assets, children’s rights, and environmental care helping them grow into responsible young citizens.

📘 What Learners Will Explore

• Extended family: family tree, relationships up to grandparents

• Local government: cells, neighbouring areas, administrative units, leaders, and public property

• Creation of humans: special role of humans, respect for elders, caring for oneself and others, caring for creation

• Rights & responsibilities: children’s rights and ways to protect them

• Living in harmony: singing, dancing, playing together, and promoting peace at home and school

• Economy: basic needs, money, saving, public assets, proper resource use

• Environment: care at home and school, dangers of poor environmental management

• God’s message & peace: how God’s guidance promotes peace, justice, and love

• Historical events: important events at home and school

• Critical Thinking: Understanding community structure, comparing needs vs wants, identifying environmental dangers.

• Creativity: Drawing family trees, creating posters on harmony and peace.

• Communication: Explaining children’s rights, presenting ways to care for creation.

• Collaboration: Group clean-up activities, role-plays on respect and kindness.
